There's no doubt about it... America is aging. The result of this is a great demand for many things, including how our friends and family members will receive needed cares for the future. One option that may catch people's eyes is the idea of Assisted Living. The philosophy of Assisted Living is to provide supervision, assistance, and personal care service to senior citizens and individuals with disabilities, as needed. Our goal is to maximize independence in a home-like setting, while providing individualized care and assistance. The Lori Knapp Companies provide an Assisted Living offering by the name of Gracious Way. We believe that quality of life is directly by the quality of care provided. At Gracious Way, we aim to deliver quality services to our customers.
We take Memory Care services seriously. At Gracious Way, we provide a comfortable home for the elderly with Alzheimer's and other dementia who do not need the skilled care provided in nursing homes. Gracious Way Assisted Living offers a unique mix of security and independence, privacy, and companionship with staff specially trained to provide very personalized comfort care for your loved one. Gracious Way has beautifully decorated common areas & landscaped outdoor areas. You can smell home baked cooking throughout the day.

Safety/Security: We at Gracious Way consider your safety to be very important. We feel that we maintain safety by making certain of adequate staffing ratios and by having weekly quality reviews to assure that we are complying with established guidelines. To increase safety, our doors are alarmed to alert staff when someone enters or leaves.
Apartments: We provide a unique opportunity for couples and family members who wish to be close to their loved-one with Alzheimer's or dementia. These apartments are spacious and comfortable. Our apartments provide the opportunity for a couple to move in and receive care while still remaining together. Levels of care and help needed are determined on an individual basis.
How do I get more info or start the admission process?
Use our contact page to send us a message online or to receive our telephone and mailing address. Individuals receiving public funding will need to coordinate with their care management team to start a referral process. To best serve you, we wish to know you and your needs. Through simple discussion, we can begin the process of learning with a no-cost, no-obligation telephone call or face-to-face meeting. We will work with you and other applicable experts to meet your individual needs. All aspects of your care are meticulously assessed and a plan is developed specifically for you.
How much will it cost me to live here?
Whether you are privately paying or accessing services through public funding, insurance, or other funding, the Lori Knapp Companies will work with you to help you receive the best care you deserve at costs you can afford. Charges are structured on a per day, per care level formula and our rates are comparable to nursing homes and other related facilities. If you are eligible for government funding, we will refer you to the right agencies for help. These include the Aging & Disability Resource Centers (ADRC) or county human service agencies.
Who will be my Caregivers?
Your Gracious Way team will provide consistent, quality cares that encourage dignity and safety. They are members of the Alzheimer's Association and are intensely trained in Alzheimer's and dementia care. The core team includes a staff of trained direct support workers to provide for your support needs, as well as an activities director. Directing the team is a full-time residential coordinator who oversee all activities at Gracious Way. RN supervision and delegation to direct support workers will meet the requirements of the individual, contractual agreements and regulation. To promote consistency and quality at Gracious Way, mandatory staff trainings are structured to cover the following areas: safety & well being, privacy & confidentiality, client rights, prevention of abuse and neglect, medication oversight, diabetic care, specific dietary needs, non-violent crisis intervention for persons with challenging behaviors, seizures, promoting health and wellness, needs and assessment, supervised on the job training, and additional state-mandated trainings. If there are special care needs, your staff will be trained to meet those needs. Having adequate team members on-site to serve you is the key to success. Each Assisted Living home is staffed to meet the needs of the customer's supervision and care needs. Because we know that your medical needs are important, a RN visits Gracious Way weekly. The RN will get to know you and ensure that your staff are competently trained to meet your ongoing needs.
What about Individualized Service Plans (ISPs)?
Each person who lives at Gracious Way will have a person-centered Individualized Service Plan (ISP) developed, implemented, & reviewed periodically. Person Centered means that the individual and their support system will drive the goals and outcomes of the ISP.
